Information transmissions

Hey, I was wondering how omnimancy handles transmissions after seeing this post: https://www.omnimancy.com/phpBB3/viewto ... f=2&t=1350

IME, after transmitting the information it gets "filtered" according to the receivers biases and perspectives before reaching their consciousness. Sometimes, this means that the they have a faulty understanding of what they've received.

Usually people fix it by using teachers and guides (physical or spiritual) to correct them, ensuring that there's minimum bias in the first place by preparing them ahead of time, etc. Personally, when I'm giving someone else a transmission, I include a "sub-spell" inside that ensures any warped information causes just enough of a problem that they either fix it themselves or bring it up. I also have an egregore that they can either talk to, or it can try to fix any "warping" through another transmission.

How do you guys handle this problem?

Honestly, it's never been a problem. Or more accurately to say, by the time we were doing such "transmissions" versus older more manual methods, the bias problem had already been solved. As mentioned in the linked thread, we do compression/decryption. The data is stored as "raw" in the first place. Sort of a universal format, if you will, and stored in effect digitally. During the decryption/decompression part of the transfer, there is a part of an individual that we refer to as the "symbolic database". This is how we are able to translate symbolism from one individual to another (which is taught separately because it's useful for more than just trading spells). So during the decryption phase, it translates everything into the receiver person's own symbolism. The individual then just needs prompting, which is usually just casting the spell they are trying to learn in front of them. They see it in their own symbolism, so we don't have to play games with translating symbolism, which can sometimes cause the issues you are talking about. Also anything they wish to know about it, sort of just pops in their consciousness, like an epiphany. If they want to know more, they just have to zoom in.
